Piano Tuning
Standard Tuning
Regular tuning is important to maintain the overall health and acoustic/audio quality of your piano. Even if your piano is not regularly played, the strings and tonal quality of the piano naturally deteriorate over time. Annual tuning by a certified piano technician will keep your piano sounding its best.
Pitch Raise
Pitch raise is a term used to describe a two-part tuning process. When the tension of the piano strings fall too low for a standard tuning to return it to tonal stability, the piano technician will first have to raise the strings to their proper average tension levels, and then work to accurately tune them. Raising the individual tension of over 200 strings requires more time and effort than a standard tuning. As a result the fee will be a bit higher.
